Introducing the Green Economics Institute
After 21 years since we founded the Green Economics Institute, we are immensely proud of what we have do, how we do it, and what we have achieved and our lovely team.
We would like more people to come on board, and to help us as the Institute is attracting more and more attention globally.
Our teams are diverse, and kind and helpful to each other. We are non standard, multi and inter disciplinary, and we value thinkers about the future of the world, and social, environmental and economic justice, and we love people, nature, other species, the planet and its systems. We also love our future, and want it to be better, kinder and more sustainable and resilient. We are also scientists, and take an evidence based approach, seeking to claw back runaway climate change, out of step financial global architecture and biodiversity loss and to stop the gas lighting of women and indigenous peoples, and migrants, etc They hold up the world and its science and always did. Its time to acknowledge their role and to celebrate that and to understand and dela with boys and men and find an acceptable realistic future for them.
We need people to help us manage our very high profile work at the United Nations, as well as our academic events, and our academic journal and our educational offerings.
We need people who enjoy supporting others as well as other who enjoy appearing in public or both. We helped to found many successful entities, globally and in Europe, some of these include:
Green European Foundation
European Network of Political Foundations,
Double blind peer reviewed academic journal: The International Journal of Green Economics, GEI Climate,
The Green Economist Magazine,
15 years of twice a year United Nations influential climate delegations and most recently also biodiversity and finance for development delegations too. We helped negotiate the Paris COP21 climate treaty.
We have a tv station
A books publishing house and 100s of publications in many different languages.
Our activities and areas of influence and operation are all based on increasing social and environmental justice and economic and financial futures and justice and prosperity as in nature. We want an accessible, equal, fairer kinder world, a more healthy world, nicer to other species and with much better healthcare for everyone.
We need to redress the balance between the power of neo feudalism and corporate takeovers and oil coups and ordinary people.
We need to strengthen democracy and how it will play out in the 21st and 22nd centuries.
We need to understand and explain and analyse the previous 7 generations and lay secure foundations for the next 7 generations and create a responsible, kind and benevolent type of leadership style for governments around the world.
We need to understand preventative health and mental health and stress care for people, and the planet and all the creatures and systems in it.
This is all a huge task but its based on an instinct to make the world a better place which is within all of us. It is clear according to the science that every human is descended from one original human mother 100,000 years ago. I am sure she would want us to live well and in harmony together with each other.
We wrote an original founding academic paper setting out our vision for such a world and it is attracting more and more interest today as in the end it’s a philosophy for life on earth that we offer at the institute and people find it very attractive and natural, positive and helpful.
